The amazing act of Sammy J and Randy first come to the stage in 2008 when puppeteer Heath McIvor and comedian Sammy J joined forces in “Sammy J in the Forest of Dreams”. And what a duo they have become.
The comedic pair have won the Age Critics Award for the best new talent in 2008 and backed that up in 2010 with the prestigious Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
The duos formation served no apprenticeship with their first show together gaining five star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe, A West End season and a DVD release.
The collaboration of Sammy J and Randy have since come together for other brilliant shows including Ricketts Lane (for which they won the Barry) and "Sammy J & Randy in Bin Night". The latter was such a success that promoters of the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival were forced to extend their season to meet demand.
The duo will hook up again at the 2015 Melbourne International Comedy Festival for their new show “An Evening With Sammy J and Randy, it’s been described as “a brand new hour of songs, smut and shenanigans”.
