Heath Franklin first shot to fame in his Logie-nominated role on channel 10’s The Ronnie Johns Half Hour. It was an outstanding debut performance for the Australian actor/comedian who also won a nomination for the most outstanding new talent.
Carrying on from the smash hit TV show, Franklin has made appearances on Channel Seven’s Thank God You’re Here, ABC’s Spicks And Specks and Channel 10’s The Project.
Although displaying a vast range of scope with his acting talent it was Franklin’s portrayal of the character Chopper that has made him an international sensation. Perfecting the role of real-life criminal Mark 'Chopper' Read in a humorous fashion, Franklin has gone on to tour Australia New Zealand and the United Kingdom extensively and just when it looks like the sensation of chopper is cooling down, Franklin heats it back up again with another sensational Chopper solo show
Again showing his scope as a great actor, Franklin played the part of Lt Whitton in Phil Nichol’s production of Breaker Morant in which he starred alongside fellow Australian comedians Brendon Burns and Adam Hills.
Heath Franklin took his character to a new level during the 2009 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, performing his show live in D-Division at Pentridge Prison, once the home of the real Mark Brandon Chopper Reid.
Heath Franklins Chopper is a must see for every Australian. You can see Heath live throughout 2015 at the following Australian Comedy Festivals or you can book Heath for your very own private comedy event.
