Daniel Connell is a fast rising comedy talent in Australia. DC first came to prominence in 2008 when he competed in the Green Faces comedy competition in his then home town of Canberra.
He performed solidly in his first attempt and returned in 2009 to get third place in the Green Faces Grand Final.
With a taste for the comedy lifestyle, DC packed up the car and moved to Melbourne where he has gone from strength to strength as a comedian. Regulars on the Melbourne comedy scene can see DC supporting the likes of Jimeoin, Adam Hills, Glen Robins, Dave O’Neil, Jeff Green and Dave Hughes. DC now lends himself to comedy clubs all over the country and has now performed at every international comedy festival that Australia has to offer.
2015 will see DC perform his fourth solo show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. So what is it that crowds love about Daniel Connell? Its his laid back storytelling that endears him to audiences. DC resonates with all demographics with his stories about growing up, family, friendships and big city life. So versatile is DC, he has performed at corporate comedy events, sporting clubs and is invited back to Lalor Secondary College in Melbourne every year to perform to the outgoing VCE students.
Not content with simply being a star of the stage, DC turned his hand to radio where he was a regular on the 96.7 Queanbeyan FM Friday Night Sports Show. In addition, DC is an unearthed acting talent having written, acted and directed his own web series called Milk and Two.
